Initial situation: The patient has very old metal-ceramic crowns on the 4 front teeth. One can see that the edge of the crown no longer coincides with the position of the gum in any of the cases.
By removing the old crowns, access is gained to the abutments which must be retouched in order to fit the new provisional bridge upon them. The root of the central left-hand tooth will be extracted at the next appointment.

The crown on 21 is extracted and in the hollow left by its absence cow’s bone is inserted for the purposes of maintaining the position of the gum at that level.

After 3 months, the abutments are once again sculpted to adapt them to the definitive prosthesis. Observe how the gum on the extracted tooth is at the same level as that of the other central incisor.
Definitive prosthesis in the step prior to completion. The ceramic is already attached and the bridge is tested on the patient to see if he is satisfied with the shape and colour of same. Once happy with the treatment, it will be sent to the laboratory to be finished off.
Final intraoral and extraoral situation.
